BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Yutaka Fukufuji made 43 saves to carry the Bakersfield Condors to a 3-2 win over the Alaska Aces in front of 6,285 fans at Rabobank Arena Saturday night.

For the second consecutive game against Alaska, the Condors (12-19-4, 28pts) struck first, when C Brett Pilkington banked the puck off an Aces defensemen into the net for his fourth tally of the year. However, Alaska (20-14-2, 42pts) responded with a goal late in the frame from F Erik Fabian to knot the score, 1-1, through one.

The Condors reclaimed the lead 10:37 into the second period, as C Dave Bonk snapped in a loose puck from the slot for the Condors second power play tally of the game. Just 1:10 later, F Andrew Ianiero followed with a blast from the right circle, beating G J.P. Lamoureux to make it 3-1. Fukufuji made 18 saves in the period to allow his club to pull in front.

Alaska pulled within a tally early in the final stanza, with F Luke Erickson scoring 4:24 in. Fukufuji stole the show after that, however. He made 19 more saves in the period and 43 in the game as the Condors were outshot 45-18 in the contest, but went on to take the 3-2 win.
