Grizzlies Announce New Ticket Pricing For 2003-04 Season

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (April 16, 2003) - The Utah Grizzlies announced today that there would be a significant reduction in ticket prices for the 2003-04 Grizzlies' season at the E-Center including the introduction of an $8.00 ticket. Other changes will see some section's prices decrease as much as 47 percent.

The biggest change will be in the Party Plaza section, which will now cost just $8.00 a seat. One of the most popular sections, the Club Level, will see tickets fall from $30.50 to $25.00 per game (an 18 percent decrease).

"When we looked around at other teams in the American Hockey League, we noticed that the Grizzlies were in the upper end of everything," said Grizzlies President David Gasaway. "We feel that with the more fan friendly ticket prices that we'll be able to draw the more casual fan and families looking for entertainment options."

Season ticket prices will also be reduced with as high as a 30 percent decrease in some sections. Fans will be able to purchase a Party Plaza season ticket for $280.00, a $120.00 difference from last year in the same section. Rinkside season tickets will drop 23 percent to just over $1000.00 for the 2003-04 season.

The Grizzlies finished the regular season 10th in the 28-team AHL averaging 6,353 fans, more than 250 above the 2001-02 average. The team had five separate crowds of more than 10,000 fans during the regular season with the season-high coming on January 18, 2003 when 10,597 fans watched Utah battle Milwaukee.
