Utah Grizzlies News Release

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that the team has acquired forward Peder Skinner from the Reading Royals and defenseman Chris Brooks from the Mississippi Sea Wolves in exchange for forward Evan Kotsopoulos who goes to the Sea Wolves.

"Trading a person like Evan was not easy," said Colley. "His work on the ice and in the community is all you can ask for as a coach. However, given the opportunity to add two players the caliber of Peder and Chris for our stretch run; a tough decision had to be made."

A 2008 ECHL All-Star with Phoenix, Skinner had six goals and 14 assists for 20 points in 31 games with Reading after beginning the year with the RoadRunners. He also spent three games this season with the AHL's Lake Erie Monsters. He led Phoenix in rookie scoring last season with 23 goals and 31 assists.

Brooks played 57 games this year with Augusta and Mississippi totaling two goals and nine assists for 87 penalty minutes. He played with Wheeling in the ECHL from 2006-2008.

Utah returns to action Friday and Saturday in Bakersfield with face-off both nights scheduled for 8:00 p.m.

The Grizzlies return home Sunday at 5:05 p.m. when they will welcome back Idaho to the E-Center.
