Manitoba Summons St. Croix to AHL

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers® announced today that defenseman Chris St. Croix has signed a Professional Tryout Agreement (PTO) with the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League (AHL).

St. Croix returns to the AHL where he spent two games with Iowa in mid-November. The veteran defenseman played in 41 games for Las Vegas this season, scoring a goal and adding six assists for seven points. The Wranglers acquired St. Croix in a trade with Elmira in late-November. St. Croix played in eight games with the Jackals prior to the trade, scoring a goal and adding two assists.

St. Croix is in his tenth season of professional hockey with stops in the AHL, ECHL and Europe. In all, the Voorhees, NJ native has played in 581 professional games, scoring 65 goals and adding 184 assists for 249 points. The 28-year old was originally drafted by the Calgary Flames in the fourth round (#92 overall) of the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. He spent two seasons with the Flames old AHL affiliate in Saint John from 1999-01. St. Croix had his best offensive season in 2002-03 with the ECHL's Columbia Inferno. In 56 games with Columbia, St. Croix scored 13 goals and added 36 assists for 49 points.

Las Vegas returns home to host the Idaho Steelheads this Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 PM at the Orleans Arena. To celebrate Friday the 13th, the Wranglers will wear specialty jerseys and the first 2,500 fans receive a "Rally Towel" courtesy of the Orleans Hotel and Casino. The Wranglers will hold a silent auction on the concourse for the specialty jerseys on Friday night. The ZOOperstars! will perform at Saturday night's game.
