Boise, Idaho - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that the team has acquired forward Maxime Tanguay from the Alaska Aces in exchange for Tyler Ruegsegger.

With Alaska, this season, Tanguay had four goals and 11 assists for 15 points in 27 games. Last year with Toledo in the ECHL, he totaled 25 goals and 44 assists for 69 points while also tallying one assist in five games with Rockford of the AHL. He was also named an ECHL All-Star last season and finished third in voting for the league's Rookie of the Year.

"Maxime is excited to become a Grizzly," said Colley. "We are happy to add his skill and scoring ability to our group of forwards as we are always looking to better ourselves. Tyler is one of the classiest people you will ever meet and we wish him all the best." Ruegsegger had seven goals and seven assists in 35 games with Utah.

Tanguay is the younger brother of Calgary Flames forward Alex Tanguay. Utah is the ECHL affiliate of the Flames. Tanguay was a third round selection (69th overall) of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2007 NHL Draft.
