Elmira Jackals News Release

The Elmira Jackals announced Thursday that rookie forward Eric Lampe has been assigned to the team from its AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch. Additionally, defenseman Eric Regan has been reassigned by the Jackals' NHL affiliate, the Anaheim Ducks, to the Crunch. The Jackals have also signed defenseman Alan Dorich.

Lampe, who will represent the Jackals next week at the 2011 ECHL All-Star Classic presented by CCM, has 16 points (8g-8a) in 19 games with the club this season and scored the game-winning goal in his most recent game with Elmira at Kalamazoo on Jan. 1 before being recalled to Syracuse. With the Crunch this season, Lampe has three points (2g-1a) in seven games.

Regan leads all ECHL defensemen with 25 points (7g-18a) in 35 games with Elmira this season. In 2009-2010, Regan was second among the league's blue-liners with 50 points (16g-34a) in 59 games with the Bakersfield Condors.

Dorich, a rookie from Orland Park, Illinois, registered his first professional point, an assist, earlier this season with the Wheeling Nailers. He spent the last four seasons at Northern Michigan University (NCAA, D-1) and was named the Wildcats' Defenseman of the Year in his sophomore season of 2007-2008 and the team's Most Improved Player in 2006-2007.

The Jackals battle the Toledo Walleye on the road on Friday and Saturday before heading to Michigan for a Sunday game against the Kalamazoo Wings.
