Derlago Named ECHL All-Star Captain

(Boise, ID) - Idaho Steelheads forward Mark Derlago has been selected as the captain for the ECHL team for the upcoming 2011 ECHL All Star Classic, presented by CCM.

A team of ECHL all stars, including Derlago and Kael Mouillierat from the Steelheads, will take on the Bakersfield Condors at the Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield on Wednesday, January 26.

Derlago will wear the "C" for the ECHL team, while Utah's Jake Gannon and Cincinnati's Brian O'Hanley will be the alternate captains.

The 25-year-old Derlago is tied for third in the ECHL in goals (20), is fourth in points (45), and is tied for seventh in assists (25) going into Friday night's home contest against the division-leading Utah Grizzlies. It is his second ECHL All Star appearance, having also been named to the team in 2009 as a member of the Bakersfield Condors.

The Steelheads are in action this weekend at Qwest Arena against the first-place Utah Grizzlies on Friday, and Saturday night.
