GREENVILLE, S.C. – The BI-LO Center in downtown Greenville is the place to be tonight as the defending Kelly Cup Champion Greenville Grrrowl host the rival Charlotte Checkers at 7:05 PM (Newsradio 1330 & 950, WORD).

It’s the third of five regular season meetings for the Checkers and Grrrowl, who have won four of their last five games. MATT DEMARSKI has a 6-game point-scoring streak with 1 goal, 7 assists and 8 points in that 6-game stretch. MIKKO SIVONEN is tied for the team scoring lead with 19 points, and the Tampere, Finland native is also coming off a 2-point performance in Sunday’s 4-3 win over the Columbia Inferno at the Carolina Coliseum.

Tonight is the second of two Grrrowl for Grades nights where Upstate students who made the “A” or “A/B” Honor Roll were given the opportunity to receive a complimentary ticket to the game.

The Grrrowl remain home tomorrow (Saturday) to host the Columbia Inferno at 7:35 PM, before traveling to Augusta for a Sunday afternoon game against the Lynx at 4:05 PM.

Grrrowl tickets are on sale at the BI-LO Center Box Office and all TicketMaster outlets. Remember, hockey tickets make great stocking stuffers during the holiday season! For more information, call (864) 467-GRRR or log onto
