
Walby Placed on 7-day Injured Reserve, Campbell and Matile Activated

BILOXI, Miss. â Mississippi Sea Wolves coach Bob Woods announced today right wing Steffon Walby (STEFF-in WAHL-bee) has been placed on the 7-day injured reserve. Left wing Darryl Campbell and goaltender Sean Matile (mah-TEEL) have been activated off the 7-day injured reserve.
Walby, 30, has scored 10 goals, including four shorthand goals and five game-winning markers this season. The 6-foot, 200-pound native of Lodi, Wisconsin has also collected 18 assists for 28 points in 17 games. He has also posted 10 multi-point games. This is the second time this season Walby has been placed on IR. He missed five games earlier this season while on injured reserve.
Campbell, 26, has tallied one goal, three assists for four points in 17 games with Mississippi this season. The 6-foot, 195-pound native of Strathroy, Ontario missed five games while on the injured reserve.
Matile, 27, was named the Sea Wolves goaltender of the month for November, posting a 2-2-0 record, 1.43 goals against average and .950 save percentage. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound native of Vernon, British Columbia is in his fourth season of professional hockey.
The Sea Wolves hit the ice tonight against the Columbus Cottonmouths at 7:35 p.m. at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. All military showing identification at Friday home games, including NASA and Stennis employees, receive two regular priced tickets for the price of one.
Mississippi travels to Jackson tomorrow for a Southwest Division battle at 7:05 p.m.
The Sea Wolves round out the weekend with a Sunday home game against archrival Louisiana at 5:05 p.m. At all Sunday home games, adults purchasing an individual ticket, receive one FREE ticket for a child 12 and under.
