Kingfish add Radio Affiliate

Baton Rouge Kingfish News Release
The Baton Rouge Kingfish announced today that they have added an affiliate to their radio network. KMRC, 1430 AM in Morgan City will carry Kingfish broadcasts for the remainder of the 2002-03 hockey season, joining flagship station, WZRB, 104.5 FM in Baton Rouge.
WZRB will continue to serve as the flagship station and point of origin for the Kingfish Hockey Network.
"KMRC has a pretty big following in Morgan City," said Kingfish Assistant General Manager Barrett Ortego said "and they will extend our footprint right to the Gulf of Mexico."
With a power of 500 watts, KMRC covers Morgan City, Amelia, Bayou Vista, Patterson, Franklin, Labadieville, Charenton and Pierre Part, Louisiana.
"We're excited about carrying Kingfish hockey," said Brian Protich of KMRC, "With the other sports we already cover, the Kingfish broadcasts are a perfect fit."
KMRC will carry Saturday's broadcast when the Kingfish host the Pensacola Ice Pilots at the Riverside Centroplex. The broadcast gets underway beginning with the Kingfish pregame show at 6:50 p.m.
