Greensboro Tops Legends On Walk-Off HR, 5-2

Isaac Galloway hit a three-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Greensboro Grasshoppers a 5-2 win over the Lexington Legends Tuesday night in Greensboro.

The Legends took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. With one out, Jiovanni Mier and Enrique Hernandez drew back-to-back walks, and Adam Bailey's single scored Mier from second.

Greensboro moved in front 2-1 in the second inning on back-to-back solo homers by Mark Canha and Christian Yelich.

The Legends tied the game in the fourth on consecutive singles by Tyler Burnett, Jhonny Medrano and Roberto Pena.

The score remained 2-2 until the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Daniel Black doubled down the left field line. The Legends intentionally walked Noah Perio, and Galloway followed with a blast over the wall in left field, his seventh home run of the season.

Jordan Conley (1-0) got the win in relief. Jorge DeLeon (1-1) took the loss. The Legends return home to begin a four-game series against the West Virginia Power. Game time Wednesday is 7:05 p.m.

The Legends will welcome their four millionth fan through the gates Wednesday night. Going into Wednesday's game, the Legends need just 89 fans to reach the four million mark for home games in their 10-plus years of operation.
