GreenJackets Hold Father's Day Essay Contest

Augusta, GA - Want to give Dad a gift that's truly unique this Father's Day' You can make this happen by entering the Augusta GreenJackets' Father's Day Essay Contest.

Give your Dad a chance to lace up his cleats by telling us why he should be a GreenJackets player for a day. Write an essay, no more than 200 words, telling us why you think your Dad should receive this honor. Tell us about the things you do together, favorite memories or a special reason why you would like to say thanks for being a great Dad. All essays should be submitted by June 13th.

This contest is free of charge and open to anyone of any age to participate. The essays will be judged by GreenJackets General Manger Nick Brown and two mystery judges. The winning contestant will throw out the first pitch, and watch their father take batting practice with the team at Lake Olmstead Stadium. Each participant submitting an essay will receive two free tickets to the June 19th game on Father's Day.

To submit your essay, mail a hard copy to 78 Milledge Rd. Augusta, GA 30904 or e-mail it to Lauren Christie at lchristie@greenjacketsbaseball.com by 5:00 on Monday, June 13th. Late essays will not be considered or eligible to receive tickets.
