Greensboro Swarm News Release

(GREENSBORO, N.C.) - The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, fell to the Windy City Bulls, 110-107, on Friday at the Fieldhouse at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex in a game that came down to the final minutes. The Swarm drop to 8-32 overall while the Bulls improve to 16-22 on the season.

Dwayne Bacon, on assignment from the Charlotte Hornets, had the opportunity to send the game into overtime with a 3-point heave as time expired but it was just off target. The Swarm fought back from a seven-point hole in the fourth quarter and tied the game at 103 with three minutes left in the game but it was Windy City's execution down the stretch that secured the road win.

The Bulls' Milton Doyle had nine of his 13 points in the fourth quarter, all big baskets that prevented a Swarm comeback. Jaron Blossomgame led the Windy City with 24 points and 10 rebounds. The Chicago Bulls' affiliate also had strong efforts from Justin Simon (17 points, five rebounds) and Simisola Shittu (19 points, nine rebounds).

For the Swarm, Bacon finished with 29 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists in 43 minutes of action. He has recorded a double-double (four) in each home game with the Swarm this season. Terry Henderson had a season-high 20 points on 7-for-13 shooting. Other double-figure scorers included Ray Spalding (16 points), Donte Ingram (15), Joel Berry (13) and Tai Odiase (12). Spalding also pulled down 12 boards, earning his third double-double of the season with Greensboro.

The Swarm conclude its stretch of seven games in 11 days on Saturday. The College Park Skyhawks (Atlanta Hawks affiliate) visit the Fieldhouse for a 7:00 p.m. tip.
