
Greensboro Swarm Complete Two Trades

(GREENSBORO, N.C.) - The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, today announced that the team has completed two trades. Greensboro acquired the returning player rights to Quincy Acy and a second-round 2020 NBA G League Draft pick from the Texas Legends (Dallas Mavericks affiliate) in exchange for Tyler Nelson and Josh Perkins - subject to both players passing a physical. The Swarm also acquired the returning player rights to Jeff Roberson in exchange for the Swarm's second round pick in the 2020 NBA G League Draft.
Acy, 29, has seven seasons of NBA experience. Since being selected in the second round (No. 37 overall) of the 2012 NBA Draft, the Texas native has been a member of the Toronto Raptors (2012-13), Sacramento Kings (2013-14, 2015-16), New York Knicks (2014-15), Brooklyn Nets (2016-17, 2017-18), Dallas Mavericks (2016-17) and Phoenix Suns (2018-19). The former Baylor University standout also has three season of G League experience, playing for the Bakersfield Jam (2012-13) and Texas Legends (2016-17, 2018-19).
Acy is currently playing for Maccabi Tel Aviv in the EuroLeague and Israeli Premier League. In 38 games (29 starts) this season, he is averaging 7.7 points and 4.8 rebounds in 22.9 minutes per game.
Roberson, 23, was a four-year player for Vanderbilt University. Undrafted in 2018, the Houston native spent his first season as a professional playing for the Red Claws. With Maine (2018-19), he averaged 4.9 points and 3.8 rebounds in 20.7 minutes per game.
Roberson has played for Trefl Sopot in the Polish Basketball League this season. In 17 games, he has averaged 8.7 points and 4.1 rebounds in 24.0 minutes per game.
Nelson, 24, and Perkins, 24, have only played for Greensboro in their respective careers. Nelson joined the Swarm in 2018-19 and has appeared in 72 career games. Perkins, in his rookie season, has played in 28 games with the Swarm this season.
