
Austin Spurs Drop Road Contest to Agua Caliente Clippers

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Austin Spurs (21-16), presented by SWBC, fell to the Agua Caliente Clippers (20-19) by a final score of 118-104 on the road Thursday night.
Quinndary Weatherspoon posted 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in 35 minutes. Galen Robinson Jr. put up 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in 31 minutes, while Kenny Williams recorded 19 points and 5 rebounds in 35 minutes. San Antonio Spurs assignee Chimezie Metu contributed 12 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in 32 minutes.
In a close first half, the Spurs had a 28-27 lead after the first quarter and a 61-55 advantage at halftime.
With nine minutes left in the third quarter, the Spurs took their largest lead of the game (69-59). The Clippers went on to outscore the Spurs 30-20 in the third, and 33-23 in the fourth to capture the win.
For the Clippers, Johnathan Motley led all scorers with 34 points in 35 minutes. Mfiondu Kabengele added 20 points in 32 minutes.
