Grand Slam Sends Skeeters to Loss in Round Rock

(ROUND ROCK, Texas) - The Sugar Land Skeeters lost 7-5 to the Round Rock Express on Monday night at Dell Diamond.
The Skeeters led 5-2 through the top of the sixth inning following an RBI double from Jose Siri and sacrifice fly from Ronnie Dawson.
Round Rock countered with a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth from Charles Leblanc off right-hander Colin McKee, who was handed the loss. Sherten Apostel added an RBI double in the seventh.
The Skeeters took a 1-0 lead in the third inning on a solo home run from Michael Papierski, who has two home runs and six RBIs over his last six games.
Following a pair of runs in the bottom half of the inning, the Skeeters re-took the lead in the fourth on sacrifice flies from Siri and Garrett Stubbs. Stubbs made his first start of the season at second base in Monday's loss. Siri finished the night 1-for-3 with two RBIs.
The Skeeters and Express finish out their six-game set at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday at Dell Diamond.
