Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

Oklahoma City, OK - The Isotopes claimed their season-high sixth-straight triumph behind the strength of Hunter Goodman's two round-trippers, including a three-run go-ahead dinger in the ninth, after Albuquerque trailed by four runs at the end of the third inning for a 9-8 victory Friday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Topes Scope: - Albuquerque's six-game winning streak is the clubs longest since securing seven in-a-row from June 12-19, 2022.

-Five of the six victories during the winning streak have been of the comeback variety, including all four games of this series.

-With the win, the Isotopes won their fourth-straight road game, matching a season-high set earlier this year at Oklahoma City (July 5-8). The club hasn't won five-straight on the road since July 9-13, 2021, all coming against Round Rock.

-Additionally, the club has won four-straight over Oklahoma City for the fifth time in club history, one win shy of matching the club record set twice (July 21, 2011 - April 23, 2012 and April 29 - May 7, 2006).

-Albuquerque claimed its second last-inning at-bat victory in three contests after Coco Montes hit a go-ahead solo shot in the ninth inning Wednesday in the team's 8-7 win.

-The Isotopes improved to 12-15 in one run games on the year and have won two-straight such contests (also: Aug. 23, 8-7).

-Albuquerque has plated seven runs in the ninth inning over the first four games of the set while scoring in three contests.

-Goodman belted two homers for his third multi-homer contest in 15 games and second of the series. The three-run dinger in the ninth was his second go-ahead homer in the seventh inning or later with the Isotopes (also: Aug. 22, seventh inning, three-run homer in 9-6 win over Oklahoma City). He also tallied three hits, his fourth three-hit game with the club, seventh multi-hit contest and fourth-straight multi-knock game. Goodman drove four runs, the fourth time with at least four RBI in a game. He also has an RBI in five-straight contests and 12 games overall with Albuquerque. During the series, Goodman is hitting .588 (10x17) with one double, four homers and 11 RBI. On the year, he has 34 clouts between Double-A Hartford and Albuquerque, the most in all of Minor League Baseball.

-Jimmy Herron belted his 15th homer of the year, adding to a new career standard, while tallying three hits for his 31st multi-hit game, seventh three-hit contest in 2023 and second of August (also: Aug. 6 vs. Vegas). He also recorded his seventh three RBI contest of the year and first since July 22 at Sugar Land. Has reached base in 37 of his last 40 games and is slashing .359/462/.585 with 12 doubles, one triple, six homers, 30 RBI, 25 walks and 18 steals in as many attempts.

-Wynton Bernard registered a single and RBI to extend his on-base streak to 27, matching Cole Tucker's for the team-high in 2023. His streak is the longest active in the Pacific Coast League in which he is slashing .360/.417/.561 with six doubles, one triple, five homers, 16 RBI, 11 walks and 12 steals in 15 attempts.

-Coco Montes collected two singles to extend his season-high hitting streak to 11 games, the longest active streak in the Pacific Coast League. During the streak, he is slashing .347/.373/.612 with four doubles, three homers, eight RBI and five multi-hit contests. Tonight was also his team-leading 39th multi-hit game of the season.

-Cole Tucker went 2-for-4 with a walk for his 21st multi-hit contest in 2023. He has a modest four-game hitting streak (5x15)

-Jonathan Morales recorded his 23rd multi-hit game of the year and third in the month of August. He also swiped his first stolen base at the Triple-A level and first since 2017 with High-A Florida.

-Noah Davis' team-leading 11.2 innings scoreless streak ended in the first inning with no outs recorded on a grand slam by Oklahoma City's Ryan Ward.

-On the night, Davis allowed five runs on two hits, a homer and five walks while fanning three over 3.0 innings. The five walks established a new season high for Davis (previous: 4, twice). His five runs allowed are the most since permitting nine runs (tied career high) to the Los Angeles Angels June 24.

- Ward's slam was the 11th allowed by Isotope pitching this season-the most in all of Triple-A (second: 10, Triple-A Charlotte and Worcester).

-The four first inning runs relented are the most allowed by Albuquerque in the opening stanza since yielding four to Las Vegas Aug. 3 (loss, 9-5).

On Deck: The Isotopes and Dodgers square-off for game five Saturday at 6:05 pm MT at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Albuquerque is expected to start Jeff Criswell while Oklahoma City is expected to send Mike Montgomery to the hill.
