
Goldeyes to Face St. Paul in the First Round

WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Goldeyes will meet the St. Paul Saints in the first round of the American Association playoffs.
The Saints defeated the Gary SouthShore RailCats 9-7 Tuesday night in Gary to clinch the wild card on the final day of the regular season. St. Paul's 56-44 record was two games better than Gary's. The Saints won three consecutive games in Gary this week to claim their first playoff berth since 2007.
Game 1 and 2 of the best-of-five series will be played at Shaw Park in Winnipeg on Thursday and Friday. Both games will start at 7 p.m. The series will shift to St. Paul for Game 3 and Game 4 and 5, if necessary.

Game 1 - Thursday, September 1
St. Paul Saints at Winnipeg Goldeyes - 7:00 p.m.
Game 2 - Friday, September 2
St. Paul Saints at Winnipeg Goldeyes - 7:00 p.m.
Game 3 - Saturday, September 3
Winnipeg Goldeyes at St. Paul Saints - 7:05 p.m.
Game 4 - Sunday, September 4
Winnipeg Goldeyes at St. Paul Saints - 1:05 p.m. (If Necessary)
Game 5 - Monday, September 5
Winnipeg Goldeyes at St. Paul Saints - 1:05 p.m. (If Necessary)
The other first round series will see the Grand Prairie AirHogs take on the Wichita Wingnuts.
