The Wingnuts scored two in the top of the ninth inning, taking a 6-5 deficit and turning it into a 7-6 advantage. That proved to be the final score as Wichita picked up its 55th win of the year, going a game ahead of Gary SouthShore in the Central Division with one game to go. Wingnuts C Edwin Bellorin singled in the go-ahead run to cap off a three-hit night. Bellorin batted in two and scored once. Leading the way in the El Paso lineup, C Alberto Espinosa hit a homer, going 2-for-4 with a run and two RBI.
