Goldeyes Sign LHP Gabe Aguilar

WINNIPEG - Winnipeg Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced today the signing of left-handed pitcher Gabe Aguilar to a contract.

Aguilar, 23, recently completed his four-year career at the University of New Mexico. In 29 relief appearances this spring as a senior, the product of El Paso, Texas went 5-2 with a 2.58 ERA and three saves. He worked 38 1/3 innings, compiling 37 strikeouts to just 10 walks. He made 66 career appearances with New Mexico, going 8-4 with a 3.72 ERA and three saves. He allowed just five home runs in 75 career innings of work.

The Goldeyes now have 21 players on their active roster, including 10 pitchers and 11 position players.
