Grand Rapids Gold News Release
GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The Gold (4-4) found a renewed energy tonight as Grand Rapids snagged a big win over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (3-3). After leading by as many as 25 points in the first half and 21 points in the second half, the Mad Ants were able to chip away at the Gold's lead, tying the game several times in the fourth quarter. With less than 4.7 seconds on the clock, Petr Cornelie attempted a pull up jumper that didn't fall, but was fouled and able to knock down both free throws with one second remaining. After a 30-second timeout, the Mad Ants inbounded the ball on a sideout, but the Gold's suffocating defense forced York to take a contested three that didn't land, resulting in the Gold's first win since January 8.

Guard Trevon Duval followed up with 23 points, 7 assists, and 4 rebounds. Quade Green contributed 23 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Other Gold players in double digits were Marcus Burk (14 pts, 4 rebs) and Manny Camper (10 pts, 6 rebs).
Nate Daxter Miles Jr. was a force for the Mad Ants, adding a double-double to the team's stat line with 31 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Daxter Miles Jr. racked up 23 points, 3 assists and 2 rebounds. Gabe York added another 19 points, 7 assists and 2 rebounds and 2 steals.
