
Goaltender Peter Budaj Named to 2015-16 AHL All-Star First Team

Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), announced today that goaltender Peter Budaj has been named to the 2015-16 AHL All-Star First Team.
Budaj, 33, leads the AHL with a 1.75 goals-against average, 57 appearances, 3,395 minutes played, nine shutouts and 39 wins, sits second with 1,338 saves and third with a .931 save percentage and was selected to the 2016 AHL All-Star Classic in Syracuse, New York.
The Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, native skated in one game with the Kings this season, earning a 5-4 overtime victory over the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on February 12 and was awarded a one-year contract extension by the Kings on March 2. Over a 14-year professional career, Budaj appeared in 209 career AHL contests with a 95-78-20 record, 2.49 goals-against average and .918 save percentage.
