
Goaltender Connor Knapp Loaned to Reading from Lehigh Valley

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League, today announced that goaltender Connor Knapp has been loaned by the Phantoms to the Royals. Reading also released goaltender Matt DiGirolamo.
Knapp was recalled from the Royals by the Phantoms on Saturday. In his first call-up to the AHL this season, he served as Lehigh Valley's back-up goaltender in the Phantoms' 3-2 shootout win over the Norfolk Admirals that night. Knapp, a third year pro from Rochester, New York, has appeared in fourteen games with the Royals this season compiling a record of 7-5-0-0 with a 3.32 goals against average and a .893 save percentage. DiGirolamo was signed by the Royals on Saturday and served as Reading's back-up goaltender in the team's 4-3 win over the Elmira Jackals that night.
