DULUTH, Ga. - The Portland Pirates, AHL affiliate of the Gladiators, announced that they have reassigned forward Dyson Stevenson to the Gladiators on Monday.

Stevenson, 21, played in two games for the Pirates after his assignment to the team on December 13th. Prior to that, he played in 19 games for the Gladiators, scoring three goals and four assists, along with 37 penalty minutes. He also received a rare honor for a rookie - he was named an alternate captain for two games (11/9, 11/13) when captain Sean Berkstresser sat out with an injury.

The Shaunavon, Saskatchewan native played in 252 games for the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League from 2010 through 2013. He totaled 75 goals and 93 assists for the team, along with 420 penalty minutes.

Stevenson rejoins the team ahead of their Monday night matchup with the Wheeling Nailers at The Arena at Gwinnett Center. It will be Festivus and Ugly Sweater Night at The Arena, kicking off a seven-game home stand for the Gladiators.

The Gladiators are members of the ECHL, the nation's premier "AA" hockey league, and are affiliated with the Arizona Coyotes of the NHL. All home games are played at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth - where parking is always free.
