EVANSVILLE, Ind.- Here's what's happening with the Evansville IceMen, presented by Coors Light.
This Week's Games (Monday Dec. 29 At Cincinnati 6:35 p.m., Wednesday Dec. 31 vs. Quad City 7:15 p.m., Friday Jan. 2 vs. Reading 7:15 p.m. Saturday Jan. 3 Vs. Kalamazoo 7:15 p.m.)
The Evansville IceMen will begin a busy week with a Monday Night showdown at Cincinnati This contest is one of just two Monday night games this season. The other will also be against Cincinnati on Monday, Jan. 19, 2015 as the IceMen host the Cyclones on Martin Luther King Day.
Evansville will then return home to face former CHL foe, Quad City in a New Year's Eve tussle, Wednesday night. The game starts at 7:15 p.m., but get their early because the first 1,000 fans through the doors will also receive free thunder sticks.
Stick around after the game because the IceMen will ring in the New Year with a post-game fireworks show. Celebrate the start of 2015 with the IceMen and Mallard at the Ford Center.
On Friday night, Jan.2, the IceMen will host the Reading Royals. It will be Youth Jersey Night at the Ford Center. The first 1,000 kids 12 & under will receive a Free Youth Jersey courtesy of Old National Bank.
The IceMen will battle Kalamazoo on Saturday Night, Jan. 3 as they wrap up a four-game week. Saturday night's game will be finish the fight night with the American Cancer Society. Fans will receive purple shirts promoting cancer awareness (limit 6,500) when they arrive at the Ford Center for the game.

-The IceMen are 8-2-2-1 when holding opponents to 3 goals or less.
-Brandon Wong has seven goals and 10 assists in 13 home games this season. Wong scored three goals in the IceMen's win over Fort Wayne on Friday.
- Patrick Kennedy is on a four-game point streak. He has two goals and three assists over this four-game span
League Leaders and Milestone Watch
-Chris Driedger is tied for second in the ECHL in shutouts. He is also tied for the IceMen's shutouts record. Driedger is 5th in the ECHL in saves with 558.
-Kevin Harvey leads the ECHL in major penalties with 13. Harvey also ranks 5th in the ECHL in penalty minutes with 117.
Milestones
-Patrick Kennedy moved into 10th place in IceMen history with his 64th point. Kennedy also played his 97th game with Evansville to take 10th place with the team
-Matt Lowry is 2 assists away from 10th place in IceMen history.
-Kevin Harvey is three assists away from 100 for his pro career.
-Jim McKenzie is two points away from 100 in his ECHL career.

Brandon Wong scored three goals and had an assist as the Evansville IceMen, swarmed the Fort Wayne Komets to a 6-4 win. Matt Lowry also potted a pair to help the IceMen earn their first win in December in front of 5,762 fans at the Ford Center.
Lowry put the IceMen on the board when he wrapped a no-look back handed shot around the body of Garrett Bartus. On a power play, Kale Kerbashian lit the lamp on a cross-ice feed from Wong to put the IceMen up 2-0.
Wong scored the IceMen's final three goals to net the hat trick and boost the IceMen past the Komets by a final of 6-4. Randy Cure had three assists. Kevin Harvey also had a pair of helpers.

Saturday, Dec. 27 at Fort Wayne L 5-1
Two fights in the first 15 seconds of the game kicked off the fifth meeting between the two rivals in the last 15 days. The bad blood between the two teams boiled over immediately as Kevin Harvey dropped the gloves and pummeled Shawn Szydlowski off the opening faceoff.
Just 13 seconds later, Guillaume Lepine threw hands with Cody Sol in a rematch of a fight from the night before. Peter Sakaris hammered Eric Faille in a fight during the final minute of the first period.
Sakaris got the IceMen's only goal on a power play when slammed in a rebound off of a Kennedy shot. However, The Komets scored three before Sakaris' third period strike and two after to seal a 5-1 win.
