WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Salt Lake City Stars, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, fell to the Capital City Go-Go 118-113 tonight in the nation's capital.

The Stars (16-16) were led by Isaiah Cousins, who recorded his fourth 20-point performance in the last five games with 21 points to go with a game-high eight assists. Justin Reyes tallied his second consecutive double-digit scoring game with 16 points to go with six rebounds off the bench, and Stephaun Branch recorded 15 points and a team-high seven boards. Jairus Lyles, a native of Silver Spring, Md., who competed collegiately at UMBC, finished with 15 points, while Isaac Haas tallied 14 points, his fourth double-digit scoring effort in the last five games.

The Go-Go (18-13) were paced by Washington Wizards two-way player Jordan McRae, who tallied a game-high 34 points on 10-of-13 (.769) from the floor. Troy Brown Jr., the 15th overall selection by the Washington Wizards in the 2018 NBA Draft, logged a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards in his ninth game this season on assignment from the Wizards. John Jenkins, also on assignment from the Wizards, scored 20 points off the bench in his first game with the Go-Go this season.

Salt Lake City built an eight-point lead (11-3) in the first three minutes of the game, but the Go-Go responded with an 11-2 run to take a one-point lead (14-13) in the first period. The teams traded the advantage in the ensuing minutes, with Capital City ending the first frame on a 12-4 spurt to own a double-digit lead (31-21) at the end of the first quarter. The Go-Go extended their advantage to 24 points (76-52) with 7:59 left in the third quarter, but the Stars outscored Capital City 31-6 in the remaining minutes of the third frame and the first seconds of the final period to take a one-point lead (83-82) following a Lyles four-point play with 11:44 left in the game. There were four lead changes in the fourth quarter, and while the Stars trailed by one point (109-108) with 1:33 remaining, the Go-Go scored six-straight points to extend their lead down the stretch and ultimately win by five.

Salt Lake City will complete its third back-to-back set of the season and cap off its three-game road trip with a contest against the Erie BayHawks (Atlanta Hawks affiliate) on Saturday, Feb. 2. The game, which tips off at 5 p.m. (MT), will be broadcast on Facebook Live, which can be accessed via the Salt Lake City Stars Facebook page.
