
Head Coach Joseph Blair and Isaiah Hartenstein Earn NBA G League Monthly Honors

EDINBURG, Texas - The NBA G League announced today that Head Coach Joseph Blair has been named NBA G League Coach of the Month. In addition, Houston Rockets assignee, Isaiah Hartenstein, was named NBA G League Player of the Month. Both were named for the games played during the month of January.
Blair went 10-2 in the month of January. The Vipers had a seven-win streak that was snapped on the road against the Erie BayHawks on January 30, 109-114. During that span, the Vipers averaged 119.3 points, 52.7 rebounds, 27.8 assists, 10.3 steals and 8.5 blocks. The Vipers also shot 46 percent from the field and 34.6 percent from the 3-point line.
The Vipers now rank first in 3-pointers made, 475, second in blocks, 7.8, second in rebounds, 49.6, and fourth in assists per game, 24.9.
Hartenstein (7-0, 249) appeared in 10 games averaging a double-double with 21 points, 14.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and two blocks in 33 minutes of action. Hartenstein's highest game was on January 26 versus Texas Legends where he scored 42 points and 21 rebounds in 42 minutes of play.
The last week of January, Hartenstein earned NBA G League Player of the Week where he put up 33.3 points and 18 rebounds for the Vipers, 3-0. His most impressive accolade was posting five back-to-back double-doubles before returning to Houston.
