Indiana Mad Ants News Release

Fort Wayne, Ind. - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants (16-14) defeated Raptors 905 (20-13), 117-112, at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on Friday night.

Despite never leading by more than five points the entire night, Fort Wayne pulled out its second consecutive win to cushion the lead in the central division.

Indiana Pacers assignee Alize Johnson returned to Fort Wayne with his 16th double-double performance in 19 games this season with the Mad Ants. Johnson ended the night tying his career high with 31 points to go along with 14 rebounds.

Stephan Hicks also returned to Fort Wayne with a double-double of his own, highlighted by 21 points and 10 rebounds. Friday was Hicks' first game back after signing a 10-day contract with the Indiana Pacers on Jan. 20.

Omari Johnson and Rob Gray ended their nights with 24 and 21 points each. It was Johnson's fifth game with at least 20 points and the 18th time Gray led the bench in scoring this season.

The 905 saw a three-game winning streak come to an end, despite six players ending up in double figures, led by 19 points from Josh Adams on 6-of-16 shooting.

MiKyle McIntosh came off the bench to finish with 15 points and 10 rebounds in just under 26 minutes of action for the 905.

Toronto Raptors two-way players Chris Boucher and Jordan Loyd combined for 65 points in the first meeting between the two teams back on Nov. 29, but an illness to Boucher held him out tonight and Loyd only totaled seven points on 3-of-11 shooting.

The Mad Ants hit the road to finish the fourth back-to-back of the season tomorrow night at Grand Rapids. The 905 will travel to the upbeat Wisconsin Herd on Wednesday night, who entered tonight on a four-game winning streak.

Tickets are available for the next home game on Feb. 7 at the Coliseum by visiting ftwaynemadants.com or calling 260-469-4667.
