
Gladiators Trade for Troock from Greenville

DULUTH, Ga. - The Atlanta Gladiators announced on Monday that they have acquired forward Branden Troock via trade from the Greenville Swamp Rabbits in exchange for future considerations.
Troock (Pronounced TRUE-k), 24, was leading the Swamp Rabbits in goals with 16 in 35 games this season before a lower-body injury forced him out of the lineup. The former Dallas Stars draft pick has a total of 37 points (16-21-37) in 35 games this year in Greenville. The fourth-year-pro has earned 53 career ECHL points in 62 contest split between Idaho and Greenville. The Edmonton, AB native has spent the majority of his professional career in the AHL where he has registered 37 points (13-24-37) in 119 games with Texas, Tucson and Hartford. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound forward skated in 144 games prior to turning pro in the Western Hockey League (WHL) where he notched 101 points (45-56-101) with the Seattle Thunderbirds. Troock set a Major Junior career high in 2013-14 in which he posted 58 points (24-34-58) in 58 games.
