
Doherty and Sparks Recalled to Providence

DULUTH, Ga. - Defenseman Taylor Doherty and forward Lindsay Sparks have been recalled by the Providence Bruins the Atlanta Gladiators announced Monday.
Doherty, 27, has appeared in 43 games for Atlanta this season amassing 17 points (6-11-17). The 6-foot-8, 236-pound defender saw time with the Providence Bruins last season where he earned two assists in 10 games played. Overall in his seven-year pro career, the Cambridge, ON native has 43 points (7-36-43) in 256 AHL games with Worchester, Toronto and Providence.
Sparks, 27, is set to make his P-Bruins debut after signing with them this summer. The Oakville, ON native leads the Gladiators in scoring with 53 points (12-41-53) in 53 games played this season. The former University of Michigan Wolverine had his first career AHL stint last year where he posted four points (1-3-4) in 22 games for the Tucson Roadrunners.
