ECHL Atlanta Gladiators

Gladiators Playing Tonight at Gwinnett Arena; Game Moved to 5:05 p.m.

January 11, 2011 - ECHL (ECHL)
Atlanta Gladiators News Release

The Gwinnett Gladiators game scheduled for Tuesday, January 11, 2011 against the Florida Everblades has been moved up to 5:05 p.m. from the originally scheduled 7:05 p.m.

The reason for the move up to 5:05 p.m. is to allow fans safer travel to and from the Arena - especially following the game. Tickets will be sold at the door and the 2-for-1 ticket offer is still in effect. There will be limited concessions available as well as a scaled down game production.

The Everblades arrived at the Holiday Inn Gwinnett Center around 9:45 a.m. on Monday and are now already in town for the game Today.

The Gladiators cannot move the game to Wednesday because Florida plays Thursday in Greenville, Friday in South Carolina and then Saturday against the Gladiators and league and player's union rules do not allow teams to play on 4 consecutive dates. Due to the Gladiators schedule, the game cannot be moved to Sunday for the same league and player's union rules (Friday at Greenville, Saturday at home against Florida, Sunday off and at home against South Carolina Monday).

Fans should not make any attempt to come to the game if they do not have safe travel conditions and any fan that holds a ticket and cannot make it will be allowed to use that ticket for a future Gladiators regular season home game by trading it in at the Gladiators administrative offices.

Tickets are still available for the game tonight and anyone who has tickets left in will call can pick them up at the game tonight.

For more information, call the Gladiators offices at 770-497-5100.

The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
