DULUTH, GA - The Gladiators struck twice in the third period Tuesday for a 2-1 comeback win over the Florida Everblades at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.

Defenseman Drew Paris' second goal of the season at the 4:19 mark of the third tied the game at one, with Pat Galivan and Mike Forney chipping in assists.

Gwinnett (18-17-5) continued to bombard Blades goaltender Jaroslav Janus, and at 13:52 the Gladiators picked up the go-ahead goal off a scrum in front of the net. Andy Brandt's eighth from Dan Kissel and Justin Milo gave Gwinnett their first lead of the night.

The Glads survived a late push from Florida (21-17-2), and won their first game of the season when trailing after two periods (1-14-4). Gwinnett outshot Florida 41-32 on the night, with 23 of those shots coming in the final period.

The Florida Everblades took a 1-0 lead on the Gladiators at 12:20 of the first period. Alex Imbeault was able to slip past a Gladiators defenseman and beat Chris Carrozzi for the tally.

The teams clamped down defensively in the second with chances at both ends but Carrozzi and Janus kept the scoresheet clean. Carrozzi stopped 31 of 32 shots to win his fourth start in a row.

The Gladiators are next in action Friday night at 7:05 p.m. in Greenville as they face the first-place Road Warriors.
