Langley, BC - A shorthanded Giants roster made a valiant effort against the first-place Portland Winterhawks, but Portland came away with a 2-1 win.

1st Period:

No Scoring

2nd Period:

POR: Kyle Chyzowski broke the scoreless deadlock 15:14 into the second period with a breakaway goal.

3rd Period:

POR: Robbie Fromm-Delorme extended the lead to two with a power play marker with 16:31 to go in the game.

VAN: Ty Halaburda brought the Giants within one with a fantastic individual effort just under nine minutes later, but they were unable to net an equalizer.
