Everett Silvertips News Release
EVERETT, Wash. - Captain Jackson Berezowski netted his 100th goal as an Everett Silvertip Saturday night, but the festivities were spoiled by the Seattle Thunderbirds to the tune of a 5-1 final at Angel of the Winds Arena.
Bryce Pickford opened the scoring with a shot from the blueline just 1:59 into play in the first period. Jared Davidson set up Jeremy Hanzel for a 4-on-4 goal to make it 2-0 Seattle after one.
Kyle Crnkovic extended his point streak to 13 games with a goal 45 seconds into the second period, his 17th tally of the season. He later set up Gracyn Sawchyn at 3:14 in the period for a 4-0 Thunderbirds lead.
Berezowski netted his 100th career goal at 6:19 in the third period, a redirection of an Aidan Sutter shot on the powerplay for his 18th goal of the season. He becomes the sixth member of the 100-Goal Club in Silvertips history, joining Patrick Bajkov (112), Bryce Kindopp (110), Tyler Maxwell (107), Joshua Winquist (101) and Shane Harper (100).
Lucas Ciona capped off the scoring moments later at 6:58, sealing a 5-1 win for Seattle. Scott Ratzlaff turned aside 34 of 35 in the win.
Everett is back in action after the holiday break on Dec. 27 in Kennewick taking on the Tri-City Americans. They return home Dec. 30 for a matchup with the Portland Winterhawks. Tickets are available.
