
Pats End First-Half Schedule at Home

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats end their first-half/pre-Christmas break schedule tonight at 7:00 p.m. against the Saskatoon Blades inside the Brandt Centre.
The Pats are coming off a 6-2 loss to the Moose Jaw Warriors last night at the Moose Jaw Events Centre, as Regina fell to 1-4 against the Warriors this season. They will see each other three times in the second-half. Alexander Suzdalev scored twice for his fifth multi-goal game of the year, while also reaching the 20-goal mark, becoming the third Pats player to reach 20 goals this season. Drew Sim had his seven game winning-streak come to a close, allowing six goals on 41 shots. The final shots were 41-27 for Moose Jaw. The Warriors went 2-5 on their power play while the Pats went 0-3.
Meanwhile, the Saskatoon Blades are riding an eight game winning-streak following an 8-5 win over the Spokane Chiefs at home last night. Brandon Lisowsky led the way with five points (3G-2A) while Egor Sidorov tallied three points (1G-2A) and Aidan De La Gorgendiere chipped in with three points as well (1G-2A). Austin Elliot got the start in net, giving up five goals on 27 shots. The final shots were 27-24 for Spokane. The Blades were 0-3 on their power play while the Chiefs went 2-3 on their man-advantage.
Over their eight straight wins, the Blades have outscored their opponents 47-to-17. The Blades are tied for having played the least amount of games in the WHL (28) and are tied with Seattle for the second highest winning percentage in the league (0.821).
