Giants Drop a 3-0 Home Decision Monday to Victoria

Vancouver, B.C. - Monday afternoon at the Langley Events Centre in front of 3430 strong, the Vancouver Giants (19-25-2-0) dropped a 3-0 decision to the visiting Victoria Royals (14-30-4-1). All three Victoria goals came in a three minute, 57 second span of the second period. Bailey Peach, Caleb Willms and Riley Gannon had the goals while Tyler Palmer earned the 35 save shutout. Jesper Vikman responded with 24 saves in the Giants net.

1st Period:

No Scoring

Shots: 12-10 Victoria

2nd Period:

VIC - Bailey Peach opened the scoring for Victoria on a four-on-three power play at 6:36. The over-ager parked himself in the right-wing circle and one-timed a feed from Tarun Fizer past Jesper Vikman. Gannon Laroque had the second assist on the play.

VIC - Caleb Willms then extended the Royals lead to 2-0 on a tic-tac-toe passing sequence with riley Gannon and Keanu Derungs. Willms' first goal of the season came at 9:29.

VIC - 64 seconds later the Royals nabbed the game's final goal when Riley Gannon knocked home a Keanu Derungs rebound at 10:33. Caleb Willms' second point of the night was the second assist on Gannon's 14th goal of the season.
