November 15, 2017 - ECHL (ECHL)
Quad City Mallards News Release
MOLINE, Ill. - The Quad City Mallards return to action on home ice this weekend with promotion-packed games Friday, Saturday and Sunday highlighted by a Vegas vacation giveaway and a game-worn jersey auction.
The Mallards will host the Tulsa Oilers Friday night at 7:05 p.m. before taking on the Kansas City Mavericks Saturday evening at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday at 4:05 p.m.
To celebrate the Mallards' new affiliation with the National Hockey League's Vegas Golden Knights, the Mallards have teamed with Quad City International Airport to give away a trip for two to Las Vegas this weekend. All fans in attendance at the Mallards' games Friday and Saturday will have the chance to enter to win. The winner will then be announced during Sunday's contest. The winner will receive a $500 airfare voucher redeemable through Quad City International Airport and two nights' hotel accommodation in Las Vegas in addition to a pair of tickets to a Golden Knights game. The expansion Golden Knights are in the midst of their first NHL season.
The Mallards will wear special edition jerseys modeled on those of the Golden Knights Friday and again Saturday and will auction those jerseys off after Saturday night's game to benefit the Genesis Health Services Foundation. The jerseys feature the Golden Knights' already familiar colors: steel gray trimmed in black, gold and white along with the Mallards' orange. The Mallards' webbed foot logo takes the place of the knight's helmet logo on the front of the jersey. The Golden Knights' logo is instead found on the shoulders of the jersey. Mallards jersey auctions have raised better than $800,000 for Genesis Health System charities over the last two decades.
F riday night's game also brings the return of $2 Dog/$2 Beer Night presented by 97X. Fans can enjoy $2 hot dogs and beers from TaxSlayer Center concession stands during every Friday Mallards home game. In addition, the Mallards have once again this season partnered with Metro to provide transit service between Augustana College and downtown Moline during all Friday home games. As part of Metro's unlimited ride program, Augustana riders can use their Augustana ID as their fare.
Fans will have another chance to join the Mallards on the ice and skate with the Flock after Sunday's game. Fans can bring skates to the TaxSlayer Center and hit the ice alongside all of their favorite players after every Sunday home game this season. New for this season, fans can also purchase $1 sodas at TaxSlayer Center concession stands during every Sunday contest.
Tickets for all Mallards regular season home games- including this weekend's tilts- are now available at the TaxSlayer Center box office, Ticketmaster toll free charge-by-phone (1-800-745-3000) and ticketmaster.com. The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
