West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies (20-19-2-2) defeated the Las Vegas Wranglers 4-1 Monday night at the E-Center.

Actor and Utah resident Gary Coleman dropped the ceremonial first puck prior to the contest.

Utah tallied seven shots on two early power-plays but didn't make it to the board until Dylan Hunter fed AJ Perry from the neutral zone for his 17th goal of the year at 11:50 of the first period. Perry picked up the puck and went from the circle to the goal and found the back of the net. The Wranglers tied the game at one just 28 seconds later but Utah completed the game with three-straight goals.

Vlady Nikiforov made it 2-1 with 17:03 gone by in the first period, as he found some open ice and fired his ninth goal of the year. Utah is now 8-0 when Nikiforov scores a goal.

In the second period, Utah added goals 1:38 apart from Lance Galbraith and then a power-play tally from Tony Romano to make the score 4-1.

Beau Erickson stopped 25 of 26 shots for his second-straight win.
