Salmon Kings Get Painchaud From Moose

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that forward Chad Painchaud has been returned to Victoria from his loan from the Manitoba Moose (AHL).

The native of Mississauga, Ontario rejoins the Salmon Kings after dressing in two games with the Moose where he recorded no points or penalty minutes. Painchaud has spent 40 career professional games in the AHL between the Moose, Chicago Wolves, and Iowa Chops where he has registered four goals and five assists for nine points with 13 penalty minutes.

The former Atlanta Thrashers' draft pick (2004, Round 4, 106th Overall) is currently the Salmon Kings' leading scorer with 46 points (18g-28a) in 40 games played.

The Salmon Kings roster now sits at 22 players (14 forwards, 6 defenseman, and 2 goaltenders).

The Salmon Kings welcome the Utah Grizzlies to Victoria for a three-game set this week with matches on Wednesday, February 3rd, Friday, February 5th, and Saturday, February 6th.
