Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. â New Jersey's ECHL rivalry will continue on next week when the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies and the Trenton Titans meet in the best-of-five North Division Semifinals of the 2005 Kelly Cup Playoffs beginning Wednesday either at Historic Boardwalk Hall or Trenton's Sovereign Bank Arena. Final seeding and home-ice advantage will be determined after tonight's games when Atlantic City visits Johnstown and Trenton travels to Toledo.
With 90 points following last night's 3-2 victory over the Reading Royals at Historic Boardwalk Hall, the Bullies currently sit in third place, one point behind the second place Trenton Titans. Atlantic City can claim home ice advantage only with a victory and a Trenton loss of any kind. A Bullies loss either in regulation or in overtime will clinch the third seed for Atlantic City.
Should the Bullies claim home ice advantage, they will host Games 1 and 2 at 7:05PM on Wednesday and Friday at Historic Boardwalk Hall. Should the Bullies fall to the third seed, they will host Game 3 at 4:05PM on Sunday and, if necessary, Game 4 at 7:05PM on Tuesday, April 19.
The entire first round playoff schedule will be released tomorrow. Stay tuned to the Bullies website at www.boardwalkbullies.com for complete information. Atlantic City is 6-0 lifetime in the ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs against Trenton.
