TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: Tonight completes a three-game set between Adirondack and Idaho at CenturyLink Arena. The Thunder have claimed three of a possible four points thus far, backed by a 6-3 victory on Wednesday and a tough 4-3 shootout loss last evening.

HOME ALONEY: Thunder forward Ty Loney collected two more points in Friday's game as he claimed sole possession of the team lead with 12 points (4-8-12) on the season. Loney opened the scoring in the first period and also collected a helper on Gunnar Hughes' third period goal. Loney now has four multi-point games on the season and is currently riding a seven-game away point streak.

BACK-TO-BACK GORDIE: Thunder forward Brian Ward completed the second "Gordie Howe Hat Trick of the season, as he collected a goal, an assist and a fighting major in last night's shootout loss. Ward followed in Phil Lane's footsteps, who accomplished the feat in Wednesday's victory. Ward's goal gives him eight on the season, which leads all rookie skaters and ranks tied for second in the ECHL as a whole.

MASE ON THE CASE: Adirondack netminder Mason McDonald had the busiest outing of his professional career, as he helped earn his team a point with a career-high 41 saves on 44 shots last night. McDonald had previously faced a high of 27 shots in a game. The rookie goaltender now possesses a 4-1-2 record in seven starts to go along with a .883 save percentage and a 2.66 goals against average.

SHOOTOUT WOES: The Thunder fell for the second time this season in the shootout, dropping their record to 1-2 in the skills competition. Adirondack has scored just two goals in 11 shootout attempts. The Thunder ranked towards the bottom of the league in the 2015-16 season as well with just a 1-4 record in shootouts.

PENALTY PALOOZA: Last night's game saw a flurry of penalties, as the two teams combined for over 100 penalty minutes in the 65+ minute affair. Adirondack amassed 55 penalty minutes, a season and franchise high, while the 51 minutes from an opponent set the same marks. On the season, Adirondack is one of the league's most penalized teams, ranking second in the Eastern Conference with 174 PIM's.

BROFESSIONAL: Defenseman Mathieu Brodeur has led the offensive attack from the blueline, as he put together another multi-point game on Friday. The 6-6 defenseman had a pair of assists, which gives him nine points (3-6-9) in seven games on the season, surpassing Alex Wall for the team lead amongst blueliners. A season ago, Brodeur was tied with Patch Alber for the lead on the Adirondack blueline with 30 points (9-21-30).
