SERIES FINALE

The Oilers conclude their 12- game season series against Rapid City tonight at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. The Oilers are 5-5-1 overall against the Rush and 3-0-1 in Rapid City this season. The two clubs have both scored 39 goals over the previous 11 contests and are by just two points in the Central Division playoff chase. Drew Fisher leads the Oilers with 15 points (3 goals, 12 assists) in 11 games against the Rush while Jesse Schultz paces Rapid City with 14 points (6 goals, 8 assists) in the series against Tulsa.

WILD FINISH

Despite surrendering a three-goal third period lead, the Oilers outlasted the Rush for a 6-5 overtime win on Friday night. Dave Pszenyczny lifted a backhand over Rush goalie John Griggs with just 15 seconds remaining in the extra session to give Tulsa its fifth consecutive win and sixth straight road triumph. Rapid City winger Winston Day Chief scored two goals in the final 35 seconds of regulation to complete a comeback for the home side after the Oilers had erupted for five unanswered goals to build a 5-2 advantage. Drew Fisher and Scott Macaulay each chipped in three assists to lead the Tulsa attack and defenseman Eric Tallent netted his first goal of the season with a shorthanded tally early in the second period.

ROAD WARRIORS

The Oilers have won six straight road games and are 5-0-0 on their current, season-long eight-game road trip. In those five victories, Tulsa is averaging more than five goals per game while allowing only 2.4 goals per game.

FEBRUARY FAREWELL

After an 0-3 start, the Oilers have won six of their last seven games and have guaranteed themselves a winning record in the month of February. Tulsa has posted a record above .500 in four of the five months this season.

IT WAS A GOOD RUN

Tulsa winger T.J. Caig saw his nine-game point streak come to an end on Friday night in Rapid City. Caig, who was tied with Drew Fisher for the longest point streak of the season, put up four goals and eight assists during his stellar nine-game run. The Kelowna, British Columbia native ranks fourth on the Oilers squad with 49 points (17 goals, 32 assists) and in 105 games in a Tulsa uniform, Caig has recorded 104 points.

TOMMY ON TARGET

Tommy Mele is riding a five-game point streak and has scored a goal in four consecutive outings. The fourth-year pro is tied with Jon Booras, Kyle O'Kane and Jeff Jubinville for the longest goal streak of the season. Mele, the only Oiler to receive an AHL call-up this season, has posted career-highs in goals (19), assists (15) and penalty minutes (192) through 53 games this season.

POWERING UP

The Oilers have scored five power play goals in their last five games and have at least one power play tally in nine of their last 11 games. The Oilers have been more effective with the man-advantage on the road (17.0-percent) than at home (13.5-percent) and rank 21 st in the ECHL with an overall power play success rate of 15.1-percent.

EXTRA DROPS

As a team, the Oilers were a collective +68 over the last five games...Drew Fisher has 10 points (1 goal, 9 assists) and a +6 rating in the last four games...The Oilers have allowed a power play goal in 10 of their last 12 games...Jeff Jubinville is +19 on the season and is tied for the top plus-minus rating among all ECHL rookies.
