Colorado Eagles News Release

WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles, proud affiliate of the NHL's Calgary Flames and Adirondack Flames of the AHL, announced Saturday that they have acquired goaltender Aaron Crandall from the Alaska Aces in exchange for future considerations.

The 6-foot-1, 194-pound netminder is in his first professional season, after joining the Aces late last March as an amateur. The Lakeville, Minnesota native captured an NCAA Championship with the University of Minnesota-Duluth as a freshman in 2011, posting a 10-3-1 record along the way. In four seasons with the Bulldogs, Crandall went 30-23-6 with a 2.83 goals-against-average and five career shutouts in 65 games.

The Eagles fourth-annual Pot of Gold game will be held March 7th during the game against the Bakersfield Condors to help local eight-year-old Parker Hobbs in his battle with leukemia. The Eagles will wear special St. Patrick's Day-themed jerseys designed by Eagles forward Taylor Vause that will be up for auction on the main concourse. The Eagles have set up a special ticket offer in which $7 from select ticket purchases will be directly donated to the Hobbs family. If fans would like to help raise money by simply buying a ticket to the game they can mention "Pot of Gold" when calling the Eagles office at 970-686-SHOT (7468); select seating areas only.
