Orlando and South Carolina meet up again tonight after the Solar Bears collected a 5-2 victory on Tuesday. In that contest, F Mickey Lang became the first Solar Bear this season to score a hat trick, and finished the contest with four of Orlando's five goals. Orlando gave up the first goal early in the game on a breakaway opportunity, but Lang notched two goals in first and F Tyler Murovich scored with less than a minute left in the opening frame to help Orlando take a 3-1 lead. Neither side scored in the second stanza, but Lang struck for two more goals midway through the third to open up a 5-2 lead for Orlando. The Stingrays used a late game power play to draw back to within three on slap shot from the blue line, but it was as close as they would get as the Solar Bears took the 5-2 win. It was the first win for Orlando over the Stingrays this season.

F Mickey Lang scored four goals in the game on Tuesday, tying a Solar Bears record for goals in a game. His hat trick was the first of the season for Orlando, and he also became the first Solar Bear to record four points in single game this season. Lang leads the ECHL with 26 goals... G Tyler Beskorowany made his Solar Bears debut on Tuesday, stopping 25 of the 27 shots he faced. He leads the league with four shootout wins... Forward C.J. Severyn is two games shy of his 150th professional game... The Solar Bears have scored at least one power play goal in four of their last five games and have scored five power play goals in total during that span... D Blake Kessel is tied for 8th among ECHL defensemen with 24 points... The Solar Bears are fourth in the league on the penalty kill at 87.0% (147-for-169)... F Mickey Lang leads the Solar Bears with 26 goals and 42 points... D Blake Kessel leads the team with 20 assists... The Solar Bears are holding Faith and Family Weekend tonight, as well as Friday at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. All three games will have live musical performances, with Thomas Ware performing on Thursday, Good Luck Penny on Friday, and C7 on Saturday. Marcel Dionne, Mike Ramsey, and Dave Christian to play in BE GREAT! Classic:

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears announced yesterday that Hall of Fame forward Marcel Dionne and 1980 Gold Medal Winning Olympians Mike Ramsey and Dave Christian will play in the annual "BE GREAT! Classic for Kids" on Saturday, March 29, at the Amway Center. Dionne is fifth All-Time in the NHL with 1,771 points and was inducted into the NHL Hall of Fame in 1992. Both Ramsey and Christian helped the United States Men's Hockey Team capture a Gold Medal at the 1980 Olympics held in Lake Placid, New York - "The Miracle on Ice". Local hockey players will have the opportunity to purchase a roster spot to skate alongside Dionne, Ramsey and Christian and the net proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida. Solar Bears on Local 6:

The Orlando Solar Bears return to the Local 6-WKMG airwaves on Saturday, February 15, as they battle the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:00 p.m. The broadcast team remains unchanged, with Solar Bears play-by-play announcer Bob Mills and Local 6 Sports Director Dave Pingalore in the booth. Sam Piotrowski continues with rink side reports and interviews during the game. Local 6 sports anchor Jamie Seh will host special intermission segments during the contest.

Orlando will air a third game on Local 6 at a date still to be determined.

F Peter Boyd is 10th in the ECHL with 41 points. He is tied for first in the league with five game winning goals... D Scott Langdon is tied for third in the league with 13 major penalties and is third among defensemen with 107 PIM... G Jeff Jakaitis leads the league with 23 wins and 1,933 minutes played. He is second in the league with a 1.76 GAA and .933 save percentage, and is tied for third with three shutouts... D Drew Baker has two goals and six assists in his last seven games... F Peter Boyd leads the Stingrays with 16 goals, 24 assists and 39 points... South Carolina is 6th on the power play at 18.2% (130-for-165) and 10th on the penalty kill at 85.0% (130-for-153).
