Stockton Thunder News Release

Stockton, Calif - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, have announced that Corey Trivino will be returning to the Thunder from his Professional Tryout contract with the AHL's Portland Pirates, per Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Rich Kromm.

Trivino suited up in 11 contests in his first AHL stint, picking up four helpers and a +3 rating. Prior to his call up, Trivino played in 29 games with the Thunder picking up 5 goals, 19 assists and a total of 24 points.

During the month of December, the former 36th Overall Selection of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft went on a team high seven-game point streak from December 7-27, picking up 2 goals, 10 assists and 12 points during that span.

Trivino will not join the team in Alaska for tonight's finale at Sullivan Arena, however he could be available to Coach Kromm on Saturday when the Thunder host the Utah Grizzlies during Star Wars Night. That home contest will be at 7:30 p.m. and will feature an opportunity for fans to take pictures with some of their favorite Star Wars characters, and also participate in a Star Wars costume contest taking place on the ice during the first intermission.
