Orlando and Gwinnett meet for the second time in as many games this afternoon at the Amway Center. Last night's game featured back-and-forth action, with the Solar Bears jumping out to a 1-0 lead just 19 seconds into the contest on a goal from forward C.J. Severyn. F Kory Nagy added a shorthanded goal late in the frame, but with just over one minute left in the first period the Gladiators cut the lead to 2-1 on a tally from F Keven Veilleux. After a scoreless second period, the Gladiators tied the contest at 2-2 when F Dirk Southern picked the top corner, but Orlando F Scott Tanski responded 1:24 later on a one-timer from just inside the right circle. D Eric Baier capped off the scoring with an empty net goal with one second left on the clock as the Solar Bears knocked off their South Division rival 4-2. Orlando is 3-9-1-0 against Gwinnett all-time and 2-3-1-0 on home ice.

D Corey Fienhage played his 100th ECHL game last night. He also earned his 100th professional penalty minute in the contest... F Andrew Johnston played in his 50th professional game yesterday... F Tyler Murovich played in his 150th ECHL game and 200th professional game last night... F Scott Tanski tallied the game winner in the contest yesterday for his first goal of the season. He was tied for the team lead on Orlando last season with three game winning goals... G John Curry started his first game for the Solar Bears this season. He set a new season-high for the Solar Bears with 28 saves... The Solar Bears have killed off all 17 power plays against them this season... Orlando acquired the rights to F Francis Verreault-Paul from the Bakersfield Condors yesterday to complete the future considerations trade that saw George Hughes head to Bakersfield.

F Jeremie Malouin is tied for fourth in the league among rookies with 9 PIM... D Jonathan Narbonne is first among rookies with a 50% shooting percentage... F Brendan Walker leads Gwinnett with 16 shots on goal... The Gladiators are the third-fewest penalized team in the ECHL with 11.00 PIM per game... The Gladiators have six players tied for the team lead in goals, all with one... F Evan Bloodoff leads Gwinnett with two assists...
