Las Vegas - The Alaska Aces shut out the Las Vegas Wranglers 3-0 this afternoon, taking the three-game series in front of 3,822 fans.

Alaska took an early lead on the team's second power play of the game as center Nick Mazzolini scored at the 4:12 mark. Eleven minutes later, Aces forward Tim Coffman followed up with his fourth goal of the season to make it 2-0. Wranglers goalie Mitch O'Keefe and Aces goalie Joni Ortio held the second period scoreless as Alaska narrowly edged Las Vegas 11-9 in shots.

With 4:13 left in the third, Aces left wing Jordan Kremyr beat O'Keefe to secure a 3-0 victory for Alaska. The Aces swept the Wranglers in the series with O'Keefe making 40 saves this afternoon.

The Wranglers next face the Florida Everblades on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 7:05 p.m. The first 1,000 fans will receive the first of two Hux Pucks presented by Ted Wiens, themed after Wranglers fan favorite left wing Adam Huxley. The weekend sees the Fort Wayne Komets come to town for a three-game series which starts Friday, Nov. 1.
