TONIGHT:
The defending Pacific Division Champion Ontario Reign (2-0-0-1) will play the Florida Everblades (4-0-0-0) for the final time this season in this two-game East meets West series. The Everblades are currently the only team in the ECHL with four consecutive wins and a perfect record. They rank second in the league with 86 penalty minutes compared to Ontario's 45 penalty minutes so far this season.
LEAGUE LEADERS:
The Reign's Veteran forward Dan DaSilva currently leads the league with 8 points (2g, 6a) giving him 2.66 points per game - which adds to his Reign record putting him a 1.35 points per game through 37 appearances. Florida's Kyle Bonis leads all rookies with 6 points (5g, 1a) - 3 of which he earned last game in Ontario when he recorded a Hat Trick. The Everblades offense also leads the league with 19 goals-for.
RED, WHITE, AND BLUE:
Tonight the Reign are wearing American flag inspired jerseys to honor the men and women who served this country, and continue to serve. Following the game, the jerseys will be auctioned off in a live auction with proceeds benefiting Stater Bros. Charities who support local veteran organizations in the Inland Empire.
LAST FRIDAY:
Rookies Kyle Bonis and Dylan Wruck both earned their first professional Hat Tricks in the same night. These two teams were well matched in goaltending, scoring, and physicality; they were tied with 4 goals after regulation and had 15 penalty minutes on 6 infractions.
BEHIND THE BENCH:
Jason Christie holds down the Reign bench for his third season in Ontario. Christie is two wins away from his 400th ECHL win as a coach and on November 11, he will see his 150th Reign game. The Florida Everblades' head coach Greg Poss is a familiar face to Citizens Business Bank Arena as he was the Reign's former volunteer assistant coach in Ontario's 2009-10 season.
