November 12, 2021 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Guelph Storm News Release
The Storm are back at home as the Erie Otters come to Guelph for the first time this season. The puck drops at 7:30pm.
After an impressive win against the London Knights, the Storm now have a record of 8-5-1-0 and continue to sit in 3rd place in the conference standings. The impressive 4-3 OT win against the Knights had the Storm hand the Knights their second loss of the season. The exciting win saw Danny Zhilkin score the overtime winner just 9 seconds into overtime after stripping the puck off the London defenceman and making a nice move to beat the goalie cleanly. The Storm's record in their last 5 games is 4-1-0-0 and shows the teams impressive recent form. Currently on a two-game win streak the Storm will be having some confidence tonight as they take on the Otters for the first time this season.
The Otters come into tonight after losing a tough game 4-1 against the Sarnia Sting, which brings their losing streak to two games. Within their last 5 games they're 1-4-0-0 with their last win coming on November 4th when they beat the Niagara IceDogs 6-4. With a current record of 3-7-1-0 the Otters sit 10th in conference standings just 1 point behind the Sting. The team's top scorer, Elias Cohen, leads the team with 11 points and 6 goals in 11 games this season. The team has also named a new coach yesterday, with former assistant coach B.J. Adams being named the new head coach.

Players to Watch:
Guelph Storm - Jake Karabela
With 12 points in 14 games Karabela has been a big contributor to the offensive success this season. He is tied for 3rd in rookie scoring with his 12 points and is currently on a 3-game point streak which has seen him put up 3 points in 3 games. Karabela is our player to watch, as the Storm look to continue the winning.
Erie Otters - Elias Cohen
Cohen currently sits at a point per game with his 11 points in 11 games. Leading the team in points and goals is an example of the offensive contributions he can bring to his team. Cohen was able to have an 8-game point streak where he put up all of his 11 points, but this was broken last game against the Sting.
