Peterborough Petes News Release
(Peterborough, ON) - Knowing how many people in the Peterborough community have been experiencing a crisis of loneliness stemming from the impacts of the pandemic, today, the mighty maroon and white are announcing they have teamed up with Coca-Cola Bottling Limited (Coke Canada Bottling) for a special Peterborough event on its Holiday Truck Tour, powered by the Peterborough Petes and in partnership with the Kinsmen Club of Peterborough.
To deliver optimism, holiday cheer and safely bring people together across the community in the lead up to the holiday season, the event will feature a series of trucks including: Coke Canada Bottling's signature holiday truck, the Kinsmen Club's North Pole decorated float and a Petes hockey-adorned flatbed travelling around Peterborough on Wednesday, November 24 from 5:00 - 9:00pm. Roger, Santa and the holiday team will be pumping the best holiday music, offering giveaways to fans, and providing some much-needed (physically distanced) holiday spirit all day long!
By registering for this free event, fans will receive a custom holiday message from Roger, a special gift voucher to the Petes Store, and updates on the holiday parade route. Registering for the event does not guarantee that the tour will be driving down a fan's street. The tour will be hitting at least one neighbourhood of each of the five boroughs in Peterborough.
To pre-register for this free Holiday event, visit https://bit.ly/holidaytrucktour or click here and fill out the form before Friday, November 19, 2021 at 11:59 PM. In the days leading up to the Coke Canada Bottling's Holiday Truck Tour, powered by the Peterborough Petes, in partnership with The Kinsmen Club of Peterborough, the Petes will announce the drive-by map and will share approximate times that fans can expect to see Roger and Santa.
Fans are encouraged to share their experience by posting their photos and videos from the event to their social media accounts using the hashtags: #DeliverTheMagic #HolidayTruckTour #PetesHaveFun.
Times and locations are flexible and will be announced the week leading up to November 24.
Due to logistical limitations, the Petes cannot guarantee that they will be able to visit everyone who signs up. The route and timeline are subject to change at the discretion of safety, weather, and time.
Coke Canada Bottling's Holiday Truck Tour will make a second stop on November 25, when the Petes take on the North Bay Battalion at the Peterborough Memorial Centre. Coke Canada Bottling, Your Local Bottler, encourages everyone to bring family and friends to safely experience the magic and snap and share a festive selfie with the Holiday Truck and Santa.
Petes Fans can experience Coke Canada Bottling's Holiday Truck Tour in person and help "Deliver the Magic '' by bringing along a non-perishable food item for Kawartha Food Share or a new, unwrapped toy to kick-off the Salvation Army's toy drive to the game that evening.
